these have been going on motorbikes for many many decades... looks horrible and i cant see it working due to the fact with it being plastic they will rub on the forks, there is also a slight gap at the bottom by the seals which is going to let mud and crap in so these in my eyes arnt going to work! 
And a 50p mix? 
My friend has red bar tape ready to go on, just not had time to put it on,
